Balázs Ágoston Kiss (b. 1998) is a visual artist and jewelry designer based in Budapest, Hungary. His artistic practice is centered around a post-anthropocentric, alternative history of creation. Kiss’ sculptures and interactive installations, presented in the show Memories of Decay, are informed by robotics, bioengineering, and complex algorithms combined with his experience as a fashion and jewelry designer. Through his well-crafted alien-like prostheses and digitally designed yet organic soft robots, he depicts the hybridity of the human body and its shapeability and expandability.
Balázs Ágoston Kiss graduated from the Digital Craft department at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest. Besides his artistic practice and other collaborative projects, he runs the design studio AGOSTON BALAZS. His works were shown at art quarter budapest, Discotec Gallery Vienna, and Ars Electronica, Linz.
